I’ve fallen in love with the recent unveiling of Disney Springs – the shopping options, the outdoor entertainers and yes, the fantastic dining options too. During a recent ‘no kids’ weekend visit to Orlando, my husband and I snagged a reservation at The Sushi Bar at Morimoto Asia.
Known for its Pan-Asian cuisine and its celebrity chef – Masaharu Morimoto, the restaurant has quickly become one of Disney Springs hottest new restaurants.
What to Expect at Morimoto Asia
We dined at The Sushi Bar, located on the second floor and it was an incredible experience that offered a great menu filled with sashimi and sushi dishes, plus the standard menu too.
We had a front row seat watching the sushi chefs in action – it was like dinner and a show. And the coolest part? There’s no additional cost for this experience.
Our favorite dishes of the night were the spicy tuna rolls and the Spider sushi rolls with soft shell crab, shrimp and cucumbers.
Watching the chef prepare the rolls and talking to him about the dishes made it a special experience. Their attention to detail is just incredible. You could feel the pride of their work in each dish.
The signature Morimoto Spare Ribs with a hoisin sweet chili glaze was crispy and filled with flavor. I could have ordered the full-sized portion and called it my meal! (You can also order these from the Street Food quick service –keep reading to learn more.)
Other favorites from our night included the Tuna Pizza, a delicious tomato salad and Kakuni Pork Bao (pork belly!!).
The downstairs area of the dining room including beautiful round tables – perfect for families and quite a few seats with a great view of the kitchen. There, you’ll find the same great dishes and service.
For Counter Service Eats – Morimoto Asia Street Food
If you are looking for something more ‘on the go’ or have trouble getting a reservation inside, you’ve gotta check out Morimoto Asia Street Food, located just around the corner from the main entrance of the restaurant.
Here, you’ll find a variety of great eats like California rolls, egg rolls, Morimoto’s signature ribs, lo mein and an ever-changing specials list too. You can pick up a Kirin Japanese beer and Boba tea there too.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating available making it a great spot to relax and do some people-watching while you eat.
How Can I Get a Reservation?
If you’re interested in sitting at the upstairs sushi bar, check out The Sushi Bar at Morimoto Asia dining page.
For dining in the main dining room, there is a separate Morimoto Asia site – you check out the menu and make reservations right from that page too.
Advanced reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days in advanced. If you’d rather call Walt Disney World Dining to book a reservation, call (407) 939-3463.

Have You Dined at Morimoto Asia?
** While the chef kindly surprised us with a few complimentary dishes, we paid for our own dinner at Morimoto Asia. Thoughts and opinions here are my own. **
