Music and travel – two of my favorite things, so it makes sense that anything under the Hard Rock brand piques my interest. On a recent visit to the Daytona Beach area, I had the opportunity to spend two nights at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach.
Located directly on the ocean, this resort is a perfect match for music fans, beach lovers, families and those just looking for a great place to relax and recharge.
Let’s take a look at my experience at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach –
Musical Touches
Upon entering the lobby, you’ll no doubt notice the limousine parked across from the check-in desk. The car was featured during Madonna’s performance at the 43rd Grammy Awards in 2001. The walls of the lobby and lounge areas are also complemented with artwork and photography of musicians including Elvis Presley, Katy Perry, the Beatles, the Allman Brothers and more. I’ve always considered Hard Rock properties to be part museum, so be sure to take time to admire everything on display.
One fun, musical perk of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach is that you can check out a record player during your stay! The record player comes with a box of vinyl albums ranging from AC/DC to Janet Jackson and others. Just sign a few papers at check-in and they’ll bring one right up to your room – free of charge!
Fender electric guitars can also be checked out during your stay at the property – complete with headphones, so as not to disturb the neighbors.
You’ll find musical touches throughout the property, including the shower! Scan the QR code located in the bathroom and enjoy a specially curated shower playlist of songs. Really fun!
Every room has a different artist image on the wall of their room. My room was a beautiful picture of Beyonce, while another person in our group had Justin Bieber!
Dining at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach
For on-site dining at the property, stop by Sessions for a menu filled with a variety of dishes. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sessions has indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the beach. Kids eat free at Sessions with the purchase of an adult entree.
At night, enjoy a nightcap at Sessions lively bar or gather with friends around the small fire pits located throughout the patio. With local beers, wine and cocktails available – don’t miss their musical-themed concoctions on the menu too.
If you need a quick breakfast, snack or a grab-and-go lunch, make your way to the second floor and visit Constant Grind. Here you can also get your coffee fix and you’ll even find gelato.
The Wave Terrace is open seasonally on the third floor, overlooking the oceanfront stage and pool deck. Grab a drink and enjoy the sounds of the band and the ocean all at the same time. Major win!
