Princess Cruises Readies for Inaugural Season from Port Canaveral in November 2024

Big news for cruise fans that love sailing out of Port Canaveral – you’ve got more options as Princess Cruises sets sail on its inaugural season from Central Florida with its Caribbean Princess ship beginning in November 2024.

That’s right – Princess Cruises is sailing from Port Canaveral for the first time with sailings taking place through April 2025.

Where to Cruise with Princess Cruises from Port Canaveral

The inaugural sailing from Port Canaveral takes place November 27, 2024 with a four-day sailing to Turks & Caicos. The rest of the November 2024 through April 2025 season features 20 cruise departures to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, ranging in length from four to eight days, including:

  • Thanksgiving four-day getaway voyage to Turks & Caicos (Nov. 27, 2024)
  • Eastern Caribbean six-day cruises to Nassau, Grand Turk and either Amber Cove or San Juan (Dec. 9, 23, 2024; Jan. 6, 20, Feb. 3, 17, March 3, 17, 31, 2025)
  • Eastern Caribbean eight-day cruises with St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan and Grand Turk (Dec. 1, 29, 2024; Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 23, 2025)

Things to Know About Princess Cruise Lines and the Caribbean Princess

Refurbished in March 2019, Caribbean Princess was christened with its inaugural sailing back in April 2004 with 1,556 cabins and 19 decks filled with entertainment, dining and plenty of activities.

All Princess Cruise ships now feature Princess MedallionClass® next-level technology. From what I can tell, it is very much like a Disney MagicBand in that you can order food and drinks (and have it delivered!) with just the tap of your Medallion and even unlock your stateroom door! I am also interested in learning more that you can find family members and their location onboard the ship — perfect if you are a mom of two teens like me!

Ready to Sail from Port Canaveral with Princess Cruises?

While I have not sailed with Princess Cruises – yet! – I’m excited to see another cruise line begin sailing from Port Canaveral. From the Jacksonville and North Florida area, it is a quick two-and-a-half hours straight down Interstate 95 making it an easy, same day drive.

If you are interested in booking your cabin for one of these upcoming sailing, call 1-800-PRINCESS (1-800-774-6237) or visit their website at www.princess.com.
